Today, I had the incredible honor of being recognized for my work in education as a nominee for the Women of Achievement award alongside some truly inspiring women. Waypoint does such vital work in our community, and being included in this celebration was humbling. I was fortunate to share this special moment with my parents, Cam, and my friends Karen and Kristy. A heartfelt thank-you to my beautiful friend Beth for serving as the event’s MC—her wit, humor, and authenticity are qualities I greatly admire. Akwi, our keynote speaker, delivered a powerful message about the circle of protection women can provide one another during times of trial. Over the past few months, I’ve deeply felt the strength of my tribe, who have surrounded me with love and support while I’ve been healing and rebuilding both personally and professionally. I’m incredibly grateful for the support I receive not only from my personal circle but also from my amazing professional community. Your love, encouragement, and belief in me mean the world. A special thank you to Ed at Joe Photo Photo for capturing the memories of this meaningful day. On this Giving Tuesday, I encourage you to consider supporting Waypoint. Their work makes a profound difference in our community, and your contributions help ensure they can continue to impact lives.
